The death toll from July 3 explosions at a fireworks factory in northwestern Turkey rose to seven, said the local governor's office. A total of four suspects were detained after prosecutors issued arrest warrants, including the factory manager in charge and two foremen on July 4, and an occupational safety specialist on July 5.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 struck Turkey's southeastern province of Van on June 25. The quake hit Van's Özalp district at 1:03 p.m. local time at a depth of 6.9 kilometers, according to Turkey's National Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
